A heartless turkey robbed an 88-year-old woman of her purse on Thanksgiving Day and then ran off as the senior citizen crumbled to the ground, breaking her shoulder, police said.
The NYPD is now on the hunt for the purse snatcher, who struck at 1 p.m. Thursday behind the 33-story East River Tower at 1725 York Ave. on the Upper East Side.
The suspect, believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, fled on foot, westbound on East 89th Street.
EMS took the injured octogenarian to the hospital, where she was in stable condition with a broken left shoulder. The victim had $115 in the purse, police said.
Police on Saturday released photos and video of the suspect, taken from near the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
